Vintage Handpainted Cherub Porcelain Cup is a stunning piece that would be great to use as a ring/trinket holder on a dresser or vanity. There is a raised profile edge with tiny dots done in gold paint trim. The Nippon maker mark on the bottom dates back to 1891-1921. The McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 stated that all products made for export to the United States were to be marked with the country origin. The Japanese chose the word "Nippon," meaning Japan. In 1921, our government requested the English word "Japan" be used for products made in Japan.  One available.
